Three website formats solve different problems. When each one fits, what it costs and the mistakes people make when choosing.

Clients often come to us saying “we need a website” without specifying what kind. Yet a landing page, a corporate website and an online store solve different problems, cost different amounts and need different promotion. Let’s look at when each one fits — so your budget works toward results.

Landing page: one page, one action

A landing page is a single long page that leads the visitor to one target action: submit a request, sign up, call.

When it fits

  • Launching ads on Instagram, Facebook, Google or Yandex for a specific product or promotion.
  • Testing a new idea or niche — quickly and without a big investment.
  • One main product or service: a course, an event, apartment renovation, a medical procedure.

Limitations

A landing page is hard to rank in search for many queries: it has one page and therefore one topic. If you have 10 services, they’re better covered on separate pages.

Timeline and price: 2–3 weeks, from 5M UZS.

Corporate website: the face of the company

A multi-page site that tells the story of the company, its services, experience and team. Its main job is to build trust and bring in leads from different sources, including search.

When it fits

  • You have several lines of business or services, each deserving its own page.
  • Customers take time to decide and research the company: B2B, construction, manufacturing, healthcare, legal services.
  • You need organic promotion — a blog, case studies, pages for different queries.
  • You need several languages for customers and partners.

A good example is the Gekkon plant website: a product catalog, service pages, a portfolio and request forms on every key screen.

Timeline and price: 4–6 weeks, from 7M UZS.

Online store: sales without a manager

A site with a catalog, cart and online payments where customers can choose and buy without calling.

When it fits

  • You have dozens or thousands of products with prices and stock levels.
  • Your customers are ready to buy online, and you’re ready to process orders and deliver.
  • You need a connection to inventory, 1C and delivery services.

What to keep in mind

A store is not just a website but also processes: who takes orders, how stock is updated, how delivery and returns work. If those processes don’t exist yet, start with a catalog and an “Order” button — and add the cart and payments later.

See how this works in our Best Keys and IgroPoisk projects.

Timeline and price: 6–10 weeks, from 10M UZS.

The short version

  • Need to test demand quickly and run ads → landing page.
  • Need trust, several services and search traffic → corporate website.
  • Need to sell products online → online store.

A common mistake: “let’s do everything at once”

Wanting a perfect site with every feature is understandable but risky: the project drags on for months, the budget grows, and you still have no real data about your customers. We recommend launching with a minimal working version and growing the site based on analytics. A corporate site can later get a catalog, and a landing page can become a section of a full website.

The right type of website is defined not by budget but by how your customer makes a buying decision.
